The Medical Industry in the United States is one of the best, if not the best in the world. For this reason, we are honored whenever we can have volunteers who give not only their expertise and time, but also their finances to treat and care for the people who would never otherwise get the kind of treatment they receive through this program and similar ones like it. Over the years, through our partner organization (International Evangelism Center) in Tanzania, we have seen hundreds of lives transformed through the work of hundreds of volunteers. Our partner organization has been helping people in various parts of Tanzania for nearly 20 years. They work from a small clinic which, was established in 1990. On a regular basis, the little clinic cannot cater to the needs of people due to complications beyond their capabilities, mainly in expertise. Simply put, WE NEED YOUR HELP.

WHY VOLUNTEER?

There are many reasons why people volunteer. For some it is the sheer happiness that comes from seeing a life transformed right before their eyes through simple procedures or just exhibition of love to the unloved. To others, reasons might range from a sense of adventure, religious convictions, experiences of new culture and customs, etc. Moral and ethical satisfaction in helping those less fortunate is certainly a reason for many. Whatever your reason is, we would be honored to have you as part of our team.

HOW BIG ARE THE GROUPS?

Based on our experiences, we try to limit our participation to 14 people per group. We prefer a good mix of talents, which often ranges from Doctors, Practitioners, Nurses to helpers who are not medical professionals. For this reason, we do not limit participation to licensed medical professionals only. We also encourage spousal participation, as long as the non-licensed spouse/individual is able and willing to help at the clinic. There are things that do not require medical skill set and knowledge. Things like counting pills, organizing lines and prepping the patients before they receive treatment.

If this program sounds like something you'd be interested in doing, we'd urge you to please call us or emails us. Also, please recruit other people, within your sphere of influence, whom you believe would be of similar interes.

WHAT IS THE COST?

Cost per person will vary depending on the duration of your trip. Currently, for 14-day trip, the cost per person, excluding airfare, is about $2700. This amount covers all of your transportation, accommodations, buying medicine for the clinic during your treatment days, etc. It also covers transportation and accommodation for your safari portion, which is all-inclusive.

If you have any more questions or you would like to see a sample itinerary, please don't hesitate to drop me an email or call me.

In some cases, a portion or your entire trip can be tax deductible. Please check with your accountant.

ADVENTURE IN VOLUNTEERING:

Certainly, part of being a volunteer is being somewhat adventurous. Well, it would not be appropriate for you to be so close to an adventure and not live it. We are talking about one of the best safari adventures in the world: Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park, Arusha National Park, Lake Manyara National Park. All these parks will all be in your back yard, in the case of Arusha National Park, that's literal. So, as part of your volunteering package that we will put together, we will treat you to a five-day safari. This will be something that will be truly unforgettable. These are true perks of a volunteer and the rewards of an adventurer.
